  Still Totally ADD

  Wish I saw this post earlier. Everything everyone said is spot on. As a born-in and at the age of 65 and out for more than 8 years I am still have not grown up to adulthood. Yes the way I think has changed but there is this little boy in me that is still screaming for attention, support and love.

  My wife last week gave a talk at the Erie PA UU congregation on the wt. cult. About 50 people were their and had no idea how bad of a cult the wt. Is. Most only knew JW's as nice people. Not the shit that takes place behind closed doors. They were all very appreciative for the information my wife gave them. We even meet a X-JW there is was a great meet-up. Maybe when I am 100 years old I will finally grow up. lol. Great thread. Still Totally ADD

  buzz aldrin and neal armstrong landed on the moon and fulfilled jfk's ambitious goal.

  i've watched some of the programming about the event.

  i think the best was on pbs's "the american experience.

  frozen I remember it well. I was 15 years old, we just left the hell hole international convention in Atlanta. My Dad drove are family down to Clearwater beach for vacation. We watch it in a hotel room on a color tv. My Dad keep saying God will not let man land on the moon. After they did he never said another word about it. It was the greatest show on earth and the moon. My wife and I watch the 3 part series on PBS the other day about the moon landing. Can't believe it has been 50 years. What happen to the big A? Lol. Still Totally ADD PS. I remember the Wt. Saying how wrong it was to name this space program Apollo because it was a false god.

  this is one of my hollywood memories.

  i lived in california for ten years from 1974 to almost 1984. i worked in the art business and had occasion to run into famous people and also has-been's :) ______ one tin soldier.

  i met a fella unlike any other.

  Another great story Terry. I think I was 16 years old when I saw Billy Jack. It was like my own personal coming out party to adulthood. To this day that strong sense of justice has stuck with me because of that movie. Thank you for such great memories. Still Totally ADD

  Is there such a thing as true religion?

  we have friends in every country on earth and we all think alike---we have the true understanding of the bible.

  we are the true religion which god approves………..” says the jw.. to put jws in the context of the question of true religion, we first have to get an insight into how a jw thinks and these points above are the selected criteria chosen by jws to judge themselves.

  Amen blondie, Amen. I even learned a new word. Recidivism: a tendency to relapse into a previous condition; relapse into criminal behavior. Yes it was a hard read. Brings up bad feelings. Thank you. Still Totally ADD

  If you saw a governing body member being pummeled would you help them?

  think about how they could care less how many families are broken up just to retain their power.

  how they could care less if members are driven to suicide because of the deep programming and severe depression or strained family situations.. how they would rather let members die in order to retain their power and refuse to acknowledge their faulty bible reasoning regarding blood.. i could go on and on and on.

  Yes! The reason is not only is he a victim of a crime but think of all the good news we would get on news networks, facebook and other internet avenues. We the mentally diseased apostates helping the head of the religion that shuns you. What great publicity that would be. It could be the straw that breaks the camels back and helps bring down the wt. cult. Plus it's the right thing to do. Still Totally ADD

  Holiday field service

  today is 4th of july in my part of the world- the us- and i was reflecting how we were strongly encouraged when we were still in to go out in the ministry on holidays.

  i just mentioned this memory to my husband and we reflected on how cult like this was.

  anyone else have thoughts on this?

  I think the last time I went out in field service on a holiday was Thanksgiving day 1973. It was the day I told my future wife I was in love with her and I was wanting to married her. A week later I proposed and she said yes. The hell with field service love is more important. Still Totally ADD
